"The Need to Do Things Differently"

Sorry about the scant updates...for the last week and a bit I've been busy preparing for a trip out of town and now I am on that trip. I'm hoping to have a great big book review up later today or tomorrow and another one should be ready fairly fast on its heels, but I'm not quite there yet.

In the meantime, check out "The Need to Do Things Differently", a post at Intercontinental Cry linking to a number of other provocative "articles that challenge conventional activism and point to the obvious need for us to do things a bit differently."

And while I'm at it, here's a link to "Grassroots Organizing: The Beginning of a Movement", a look by Brownfemipower at approaches to change that do not centre acts but rather that centre people. I had been waiting to link to this one until I had a chance to get my thoughts in order and reflect in print on its insightful words , and I may still do that if I have a chance, but for now just go ahead and read it!
